The Bootleg is a 1 3/4" handmade leather guitar strap built with rows of individually set metal studs for a look that belongs under stage lights.
Every Bootleg is cut, assembled and finished by hand in our Los Angeles shop, with your choice of hardware finish.
Built One Stud at a Time
The Bootleg isn't printed, embossed or made to imitate hardware. The stud pattern is built into the strap by hand.
Each piece of hardware is individually set into the leather to create the dense, unmistakable pattern that defines the Bootleg.
At 1 3/4 inches wide, it has enough surface area to make the stud work count while keeping the profile leaner than a wide 2" or 3" stage strap.
It's loud without being oversized.

Are the studs actually set into the leather?
Yes. The Bootleg uses individually set metal hardware rather than a printed or simulated stud pattern.
Which hardware finish is shown?
The black Bootleg shown with bright metal hardware is Black + Silver.
Which size should I choose?
Measure a guitar strap you already use at your preferred playing height and compare it with the three length ranges above. The overlapping sizes give you room to choose the adjustment range that works best for how you wear your guitar.
Can I use strap locks?
Yes. Select Yes under Strap Lock Compatible and we'll prepare the strap-lock holes before it leaves our shop.
Can I order a custom length?
Yes. Special sizing is available. Contact us before ordering if you need a length outside Size 0, Size 1 or Size 2. An additional charge may apply.
